Terms and Conditions of Use of the Website

This page explains the conditions under which you may use the website solanord.ro. Please read it. If you do not agree with what follows, please do not use the website.

This is a translation of the Romanian original. If there are any differences between the two, the Romanian version prevails.

In what follows, “Solanord”, “we” or “the company” means SOLANORD PANELS S.R.L., and “the website” means solanord.ro, with all its pages, in all the languages in which it is available.

What the website is for

The website presents the company’s activity: metal structures and welding on board ships under construction, carried out by the company’s own teams, under its own supervision, for shipyards and marine outfitting firms.

The website is for information purposes and is addressed exclusively to professionals, meaning companies and other persons acting in the course of their trade, business or profession. It is not addressed to consumers.

Nothing is sold on the website and no contracts are concluded on it. There are no prices, online orders, payments or user accounts.

The information on the website is not an offer

The texts and photographs describe, in general terms, the work we carry out. They do not constitute an offer to contract within the meaning of the Codul civil (the Romanian Civil Code) and do not oblige us to enter into a contract.

A working relationship begins only on the basis of a contract or an order agreed separately with us, after we have discussed the work, the deadlines and the conditions. The rights and obligations of the parties are set by that contract, not by the website.

The contact form

You can send us a message through the contact form. Your name, email address and message are needed so that we can reply to you. The company name and telephone number are optional.

Before sending, the form asks you to tick a box confirming that you agree to these terms and have read the “Privacy Policy” page. Without this confirmation the message is not sent. The confirmation is recorded in the message we receive, together with the date and time at which we received it.

After you submit the form, you automatically receive a confirmation email at the address you provided. It confirms only that the form has been sent. It is not a reply to your enquiry and does not mean that we have accepted anything.

Sending a message does not create a contract and does not oblige us to send an offer or to accept a job. We try to reply as quickly as possible, but we do not guarantee a response time.

Please enter your own email address, not someone else’s. Please also do not send confidential information, trade secrets or other people’s personal data through the form unless they are necessary for your enquiry.

The form is protected by a security check from Cloudflare (Turnstile), which needs JavaScript. A message that does not pass the check is not sent; in that case you can write to us directly at office@solanord.ro. The check is described on the “Privacy Policy” and “Cookie Policy” pages.

How we use the data sent through the form is described on the “Privacy Policy” page. Information about cookies can be found on the “Cookie Policy” page. Choices about cookies are managed with the CookieYes service, described on the same two pages; you can change them through the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of the website. Both pages can be reached from the footer of the website.

Rights in the content

The texts, structure and graphic design of the website, the Solanord name and logo, and the photographs published on it belong to the company or are used with the consent of their rights holders. They are protected by the legislation on copyright and related rights (Legea nr. 8/1996, the Romanian Copyright Act) and, where applicable, by other legal provisions, for example those on trade marks, company names and unfair competition.

You may:

• view the website and print or save pages for your own information or that of your company;
• send other people a link to the website;
• quote short extracts of text, provided you cite the source.

Without our written consent, you may not:

• copy, republish or distribute the texts or photographs, in whole or in substantial part;
• use the photographs in your own materials, including presentation or recruitment materials;
• use the Solanord name or logo in a way that suggests a connection or collaboration that does not exist.

These rules do not restrict the uses that the law permits without the rights holder’s consent.

The photographs show members of our team at work. The image of these persons is protected by law. Please do not copy these images or use them in any other context.

Ship names and other companies’ trade marks

The website mentions ships on board which we have worked, for example Seven Seas Prestige and Oceania Sonata. The names of ships, cruise lines and shipyards, and any of their insignia that may be visible in the photographs, are trade marks or names of their respective owners.

We use them only to describe the work we have carried out. The mention of a ship does not mean that the shipowner, the cruise line or the shipyard sponsors, recommends or guarantees Solanord’s activity, and it does not indicate that there is a partnership or a direct contract with them.

If you are the holder of such a right and consider that a mention or a photograph should not appear on the website, write to us at office@solanord.ro. We will review your request and reply as quickly as possible.

How the website may be used

Please use the website in the ordinary way and in good faith. It is not permitted to:

• send unsolicited advertising, automated messages, or messages with illegal, offensive or false content through the form;
• present yourself as another person or another company, or give someone else’s email address;
• attempt to access parts of the website or of the server that are not public, or to test or circumvent the security measures;
• disrupt the operation of the website, for example through high volumes of automatically generated traffic;
• extract the content automatically and systematically in order to republish it.

We may block access for those who break these rules, and we may leave unanswered any messages sent in breach of them.

Accuracy of the information

We do our best to keep the information on the website accurate and up to date. However, the website offers a general presentation. The descriptions of the work, the photographs and the list of ships are for guidance only and may not reflect, at every moment, all our projects or the current availability of our teams.

The information on the website is not technical advice and does not replace the project documentation, the shipyard’s specifications or the requirements of the classification societies. Before making a decision based on it, please contact us.

Availability of the website

We try to keep the website accessible at all times, but we cannot guarantee that it will operate without interruptions or errors. The website may be temporarily unavailable because of maintenance work, technical faults or causes attributable to the hosting and network providers. The contact form also depends on the Cloudflare security check: while that check is unavailable, messages cannot be sent through the form.

We may modify, suspend or close the website or parts of it at any time, without prior notice.

Limits of our liability

The website is made available free of charge, for information. To the extent permitted by law, Solanord is not liable for:

• loss resulting from the use of the general information on the website without first checking it with us;
• interruptions, delays or errors in the operation of the website or of the contact form, including messages that do not reach us for technical reasons;
• loss caused by use of the website in breach of these terms;
• the content and operation of the external websites to which we link.

If your message is important and you have not received a reply, please write to us directly at office@solanord.ro.

These limits do not apply where the law does not allow liability to be limited. In particular, we do not exclude or limit liability for loss caused intentionally or through gross negligence, nor for harm to life, physical integrity or health. Nor do these limits affect the rights you have under the legislation on the protection of personal data.

Liability for the work we carry out is set by the contract concluded with each client, not by this page.

Links to other websites

The website contains links to websites operated by other persons, for example to the company’s page on ListaFirme.ro, where public data about the company can be consulted.

These websites are not controlled by us. We are not responsible for their content, accuracy or availability, or for their practices regarding personal data and cookies. The data displayed there is collected and updated by the operators of those websites. We recommend that you read the terms and the privacy policy of each website you visit.

Versions in other languages

The website is available in Romanian, English and Italian. The English and Italian versions are translations provided for the convenience of visitors. If there are differences between the versions, the Romanian version applies.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the website, our activity or the legislation changes. The version in force is the one published on this page, with the date of the last update shown at the top. Changes apply from the moment of publication and do not affect situations that arose before it.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms and the use of the website are governed by Romanian law.

We try to resolve any disagreement amicably. Please write to us first at office@solanord.ro. If we do not reach an agreement, the dispute will be settled by the competent courts of Romania, to the extent that the applicable mandatory rules do not provide otherwise.

If any provision of these terms is declared invalid, the remaining provisions stay in force.
